Foster parents are without question the most priceless resource for Woof River. Without foster parents we are unable to save any precious lives. Guess what? In being a foster parent, you 1) get to be a hero and 2)get an endless supply of doggy kisses and 3)don’t have to spend a single cent! Woof River happily covers all vetting expenses, provides a crate, provides heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and provides food if you ask for food. Some of our fosters choose to provide their own food…totally your call! Every single time you foster a shelter dog you save 2 lives, the life of your foster dog and the life of another dog who doesn’t have to die because a kennel is empty!

We are always looking for help with different things to make this rescue run. Some of these volunteer opportunities would include (but are not limited to) event volunteers, help with computer work or office work, photography, picking dogs up from the shelter, transporting dogs to/from vet appointments and transport, and community outreach. We couldn’t do anything we do without the hard work of each and every one of our volunteers. More dedicated volunteers on board with our mission means making an even bigger impact for dogs in need and our community.
